Spectator Tickets are on sale at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester. The week long programme of events are being held at the famous Manchester Velodrome which has been the scene of many great competitions and will be the 15th time that the championships have taken place on the super fast boards.
The championships start on Sunday October 6th and go through to Saturday October 12th giving you seven days of packed action. Events are for both men and women and are classified in to 5 year age groups from 35 years old upwards. UCI Rainbow jerseys for the winner and medals to the first three will be on offer in Time Trial, Sprint, Individual Pursuit, Points Race, Scratch Race and Team Sprint. Following its successful trial in 2012 there will also be an official Team Pursuit championship for both men and women. This makes a host of over 70 championships during the week’s racing.
Advance ticket purchases can also be made on line at the championships web site by following this link :
Tickets are reasonably priced at £8 and £5 for concessions per day which gets you in to the championships for all sessions that day with a free programme at the door. Even better is a week long ticket at £40 and £25 for concessions getting you seven days for the price of five. This year advance purchasers will receive an electronic ticket by email which will replace the old system of collecting tickets at the door.
The National Cycling Centre has full catering facilities making it easy to spend a day at the championships. There will also be a super cycling shop on the concourse provided by Phil Griffiths of Yellow Ltd featuring Rudy Project, Pinarello and Assos amongst others.
Championships souvenir jerseys, polo shirts and T Shirts are also available to buy in advance and can be pre-ordered at the web site and collected on arrival.
We look forward to seeing you in Manchester in October
