Strong Scottish and international field of riders including talented sprinters for round 2 of the 203/14 Revolution Series in Glasgow
An impressive Scottish line-up, watched by Sir Chris Hoy, will will face riders from across Europe in the elite racing with representation from Germany, France, Austria, the Netherlands and Slovenia. Scottish favourite James McCallum rides for Rapha Condor JLT, having wrapped up last season’s title alongside Ed Clancy at the same venue last February. See the full rider list here
Omega Pharma-QuickStep rider and Future Stars winner Andy Fenn competes in the Elite Championship for the Telegraph All Stars, while several riders will bring good form after the Six Days of Ghent. Dutchman Wim Stroetinga placed second overall with Ijlo Keisse in Belgium while Marcel Kalz (Rudy Project RT) finished sixth alongside Robert Bartko. Andreas Müller, who’ll ride for Madison-Genesis on Saturday, finished eighth overall.
Aside from the strong endurance line-up a fearsome line-up of sprinters will also be in action. Callum Skinner, John Paul, Kenny Ayre and Chris Pritchard all ride for Scotland with Matt Rotherham representing Team GB. Jeffrey Hoogland and Matthijs Büchli (the Netherlands) join young French talent Quentin Lafargue and German hopes Philipp Thiele and Robert Kanter in the men’s sprint line-up.
Clara Sanchez (twice Keirin World Champ) and Olivia Montauban head the French women’s sprint team. Elis Ligtlee and Yesna Rijkhoff spearhead the Dutch challenge facing Scots Jenny Davis, Emma Baird and Ellie Richardson. Premium tickets are sold out already but there are plenty of great seats left to buy in track centre and unreserved areas. Buy tickets here
